Seaplane (float alighting gear) endorsement

Seaplane training is conducted in Strahan in conjunction with Strahan Seaplanes. The southwest of Tasmania offers a unique, scenic and remote training ground ideally suited to seaplane flying. Challenging weather, deep ravines, open water, confined water, all the locations uniquely "seaplane" are here.

Course cost: $5000.00. Includes 5 hours flying in a C185F, share accommodation and transfers from Wynyard (Burnie) airport.

Tail wheel and or CSU endorsement

This is conducted at Devonport and surrounding locations in a 2000 model American Champion "Scout". The Scout is ideally suited to tail wheel training. 180 HP, CSU and tundra tyres make the Scout a high performance STOL tail wheel aircraft.

Typical tail wheel endorsement: 5 hours @ $220.00 per hour.
