Trojan Batteries:

These are American made electric vehicle batteries. Don't get fooled here. These batteries are much copied. We only sell genuine Trojan Brand American batteries. The copies just don't cut it. Your genuine Trojan will have the Trojan Brand molded into the case. It will be vibration proof and capable of exceeding design life. It will work. It will not let you down. We have installed a lot of these batteries. At a house near us 8 x T105 batteries are arranged into a 24 volt battery bank. They are now 7 years old and have been used every day of their 7 year life running a small household. Extreme vibration resistance.

• Trojan T105: This is a 6 volt 220 amp/hour @ C10 deep cycle battery. 264 x 181 x 284 high, 28 Kg. 600 cycles to 80% depth of discharge. You will need two to build a 12 volt 220 amp/hour deep cycle battery bank.

• Trojan L16: This is again a 6 volt battery. These batteries are 350 amp/hour @ C10. 296 x 178 x 446 high, 58 Kg 600 cycles to 80% depth of discharge. You will need two to make a 350 amp/hour battery bank.

• Trojan 27RVH (Now called 27TMX): This is a battery designed for recreational vehicles (RV's) as the name denotes. 105 amp/hours 171mm x 324 x 248 high 25Kg.

• Trojan SCS225: This is a 12 volt battery well suited to heavy discharges and the rigors of a small solar system. 130 amp/hour @ C10. 400 cycles to 80% depth of discharge 337 x 173 x 248 high 32 Kg.

• Trojan J185: A 12 volt 195 amp/hour battery for places 6 volt models just won't fit. The J185 is robust and well suited to recreational vehicle use. 381 x 178 x 372 high 60 Kg.

Exide Energystore Solar Batteries:

Exide Energystore batteries are designed and manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions. These are the only battery on the market that meet AS4086.1 for battery installations as supplied from the manufacturer. These are the only battery we install in large solar systems.

These batteries are individual 2 volt cells packaged into either 2 or 3 cell groups inside heavy duty plastic boxes. (see picture). You order them as either 4 or 6 volt batteries depending on the capacity. The first digit refers to the voltage, the second digit group refers to the amp/hour capacity at C100. Sizes available "off the shelf" range from 670 amp hours to 1800 amp hours.

Exide Energystore batteries are supplied with all hardware required to connect to each other.

Cycle Life: 1500 cycles to 80%, 2500 cycles to 50%, 3300 cycles to 30%, 4000 cycles to 10% depth of discharge.
