Biodiesel making instructions

Simple Biodiesel:
A complete guide to making Biodiesel Fuel from used cooking oil.
ISBN 0-9581100-0-X

65 pages

Comprehensive instructions in a value book...

I am sure you have already read my page on biodiesel. Suffice to say that making biodiesel is actually pretty simple and well within the reach of the average householder. Others will try to tell you differently I am sure. Some folk just like to make complex operations out of simplicity. Me? I was loosing my voice and wasting hours of time explaining it to everyone, not to mention feeling a bit like a parrot. My solution was to write a book in plain simple English giving step by step instructions on the whole biodiesel manufacturing process from start to finish.

This book has proven very popular, is easy reading and even if you don't go on to make your own fuel you will at least benefit from the knowledge that you can do if you want!

Battery charging instructions

Build Your Own Direct Charging Plant
A "how to" guide to building a high performance battery charging plant.
ISBN 0-9581100-2-6

57 pages

If you own a large battery bank and wish to charge it economically with a home built charging plant this book will tell you how. See our information pages for details on the direct charging plants we use.

Direct Charging is also what you will do if you own a motorhome or caravan or use a battery for energy in a recreational vehicle or 4WD.

Basically it goes like this in a vehicle:
While traveling you use your vehicle alternator or auxiliary alternator to charge your battery bank. When stationary the solar panels take over. Commercially available direct charging plants are certainly available, however, it is comparatively easy to make your own. Full information on doing just that is available in our book "Build Your Own Direct Charging Plant". Another advantage of a home built unit is that you can actually use an alternator as a welding plant. My Honda powered 110 amp 12 volt charger doubles as an efficient, electronically adjustable welding plant and is as good as any basic mains type welder I have ever used. This plant is pictured on our battery charging page. All the required information to construct a direct charging plant similar to these is contained in our book "Build Your Own Direct Charging Plant" (ISBN: 0-9581100-2-6, $25.00 Aussie dollars).
